Fun, light to moderate exercise with information to motivate and modify exercise habits. No experience required. Guided by a Certified Exercise Physiologist. Exercise has been shown to be safe and beneficial at all stages of the cancer journey. A low impact, high energy fitness class for our mature adults or those looking to start their road to an active life. This class includes warm-up, aerobics, circuits, stretching, strength training and cardio components. Participants should be prepared to laugh and have fun! Please bring a mat and water bottle. This multi-level circuit style class will ensure that everyone gets a full body workout! Functional strength training, cardio, agility, core work and much more, will be included in every class. Babies 2 months+ and kids are welcome to attend. Babies can hang out in the stroller and the kids can either participate or play with other kids! Remember this class is child friendly, if you need to change, feed, or tend to your child in any way, that is okay. Please bring a mat and water bottle. If you have always wanted to check out the town walking trails but have been apprehensive to do so then join us for a tour. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to venture the trails again. These tours are family friendly and the routes will be based on the ability of participants. Biking tours trails will take place on Tuesday Sept. 24th at 6:30 pm and Wednesday Sept 25th at 12 pm. The tours will begin at the Repsol Place parking lot. If you are unable to attend at these times, you can arrange another tour with a group of 6 or more during a time that works for you. Pre-registration is recommended but drop-ins are welcome. A caregiver is someone who assists a family member of friend with challenges resulting from disability, illness, or aging. The Caregiver Workshop COMPASS is for you. Topics include managing stress, preventing burnout, family dynamics, and navigating supports and services. Join other caregivers in a safe and supportive environment for this 9-module program led by a trained facilitator who understands how difficult care-giving can be.
